Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 August 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of Solicity, a platform for managing property transactions ("the Service"), operated by Solicity ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these terms on your own behalf and, where you act for an organisation, on that organisation's behalf.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Solicity provides workspace tools for property transactions: matter management, party invitations, document handling and progress tracking. Solicity is a software provider. We are not a law firm, we do not provide legal advice, and nothing in the Service constitutes legal advice. Responsibility for the conduct of any transaction remains with the professionals involved.
2. Accounts and organisations
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Organisation administrators can invite members, assign roles and manage the organisation's data; admins are responsible for who they grant access to.
You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act for the organisation you register.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service: no unlawful content, no attempts to access other organisations' data, no interference with the Service's operation, no automated scraping, and no use of the Service to send spam or fraudulent invitations. We may suspend accounts that breach this section.
4. Your data
You retain all rights to the data you and your clients put into the Service. You grant us the licence needed to host, process and display that data in order to provide the Service. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Notice.
5. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may modify features, and will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce the Service's functionality. During any free trial or pre-launch period the Service is provided "as is".
6. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising from the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in that period.
7. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms. On termination we will make your organisation's data available for export for 30 days, after which it will be deleted in line with the Privacy Notice.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will notify account holders by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
